OVERVIEW
This configuration is designed to provide a realistic F-16 HOTAS as well as giving the extra functionality required for PC simulations. My HOTAS progamming philosophy is to model as much realism as posible with the S3 modifier switch in the out position, and then provide some basic non-realistic but useful HOTAS comands in an intuitive position with S3 held in. By their nature, simulations require a HOTAS system to perform some functions that a real pilot would not have to deal with. Things like switching views and using padlocking are abviously not required in the real aircraft. For these files I have introduced more 'HOLD' Functions which provide extra functionality for those that prefer it.

WHERE TO PUT THE FILES
1. Place the Jagstang F4 SuperPak.key file in the microprose/falcon4/config folder
2. Place the remaining files in the Program Files/Foxy/Files folder

SETTING UP

For an illustrated guide to setting up these files please visit http://www.falcon40.co.uk/hotasguide.html

THROTTLE SET-UP - VERY IMPORTANT!
Everyone's throttle detents will be in different positions either due to repositioning or factory variations. To help us set these correctly we'll use a file that installed with TM's software that can be found in the Program Files/HOTAS directory called ThrottleRange.exe.

1. Do a manual calibration of your Cougar and save it to your default profile.
2. Run ThrottleRange.exe
3. Follow the instructions given by ThrottleRange.exe
4. Write down the AFB and Idle results as displayed.
5. Close the program - DO NOT PRESS APPLY
6. Visit http://www.falcon40.co.uk/THR_setup.html and enter the results from the previous steps - then press Generate.
7. Select and copy the generated text
8. Paste the copied text into the Jagstang F4 SuperPAK.tmj replacing the THR code thats already in place.
9. Save the edited file and download it to your Cougar.

SETTING UP FALCON 4
1. Start Falcon 4 and go to the controllers setup screen
2. Move the throttle forwad antil it is between the two clicks of the AFB detent.
3. Press the SET AB button in F4.
4. Under the Keystrokes window is a 'LOAD' button, press this and select Jagstang F4 SuperPak.key, then press OK.

RUDDERS
The main Jags F4 SuperPak DX.tmj is designed for users with rudder pedals, however code has been included for those without pedals. If you don't have rudder pedals and would like some rudder control with the ANT ELEV knob, please do the following to the tmj file in Foxy:

1. Delete the "Rudder Pedals Fitted" section (near the top of the file)
2. Remove the red REM statements from the "No Rudders" section
3. Save the file and download it to your stick

By following the above process your ANT ELEV control will be set to work as listed below when the Dogfight switch is either in the Left (up) or Right (down) position. When the dogfight switch is in the middle position it will control the rudder / NWS.

WHAT THE SWITCHES DO
You can get full details about the switches functions by reading the attached .rtf file.

That's it!
Now go do some flying.
